Ground-Source Geothermal
Since its inception, Skyline Engineering, LLC has been a proponent and innovator of geothermal systems, including traditional “geothermal” closed-loop heat pump systems as well as true geothermal systems which capture the internal heat of the earth. Projects have included systems from as small as 5 tons up to systems around 300 tons, with a variety of heat pump concepts, including distributed heat pumps, central heat recovery chiller plants, and integration with process heat pumps. It has been found that this design approach provides reliable, high efficiency systems that result in added facility value and a significant level of owner satisfaction.
Skyline has been instrumental in developing the market for geothermal energy storage in the Black Hills region and each project we complete provides valuable insight for future projects. We understand what it takes to deliver a large-scale geothermal project in Rapid City and have accomplished a number of complicated, phased geothermal projects in this locale.
